It all started when…
ReChurch (formerly known as Roxburgh Park Community Church) was born out of a Connect Group belonging to the Sunbury Community Church meeting at Dallas. The group grew rapidly and the leadership of the Sunbury church decided to morph the group into a new church plant in the new nearby suburb of Roxburgh Park - where, at the time, only a handful of new houses had been built.
Meetings began in Roxburgh Park in 1995, and a new church planting team was appointed to lead the new mission project under the oversight of the Sunbury church. Eventually, the group began operating out of the local Primary School and it grew into a church. In 1997 the church became affiliated with Churches of Christ Vic.-Tas. and has operated autonomously since then.
Along the way, ReChurch has been instrumental in the planting of a new Samoan congregation in the south-east suburbs, and has assisted and encouraged other churches and church planters.
Our church comprises over 30 nationalities! We really are multi-cultural, and warmly welcome new comers to our country.
